Terms of Service

Last updated: April 9, 2026

The Agreement

By using Stoke, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.

What Stoke Is

Stoke is a matching and engagement platform that places Christian men into groups of 5 for brotherhood, accountability, and spiritual growth. We provide the matching algorithm, group chat facilitation, challenges, leaderboards, and habit tracking.

Community Guidelines

Stoke groups work best when everyone is bought in. By joining, you're agreeing to these norms:

These are norms, not legal obligations. But if your group reports that you're consistently inactive or disrespectful, we may remove you and offer your spot to someone else.

What We Expect

Stoke is a faith-based community. We do not tolerate harassment, hate speech, threats, or any behavior that undermines the safety of the group. Violation of these norms results in removal from your group and termination of your account.

Re-Matching

If your group isn't working after 8 weeks, you can request a re-match. We'll survey the group, preserve bonds that formed, and refresh the rest. You may request one re-match per 8-week cycle. If re-matched, you may remain in the original group chat or request removal.

SMS Messaging Program

Program name: Stoke Group Chat. By providing your phone number during signup and checking the SMS consent box, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Stoke, including group chat prompts, prayer requests, weekly challenges, scripture reflections, and leaderboard updates. Messages are delivered via a Stoke-operated phone number powered by Twilio.

Message frequency: approximately 4 messages per week per group, plus member-to-member replies within your group. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from Stoke SMS messages. Reply HELP for help, or email support@stokefaith.com. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase. Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, and others; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Payments & Cancellation

Stoke is a paid subscription service billed monthly. You can cancel at any time. When you cancel, you retain access through the end of your current billing period. After that, the AI prompts stop and your group will no longer receive challenges or leaderboard updates. The group chat itself (iMessage/SMS) remains yours — we don't delete it.

Refunds are not issued for partial months. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days.

Limitation of Liability

Stoke is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, or crisis intervention. Do not rely solely on your Stoke group for mental health support. If you or someone in your group is in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) or your local emergency services immediately.

Stoke is not responsible for the actions, statements, or behavior of individual group members. We provide the platform and matching — what happens in the group is between the members. We are not liable for any harm arising from interactions between group members.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of Stoke after changes constitutes acceptance.
